Breaking Through

A stone Obelisk was built in Robe, South Australia in 1852 to help ships navigate safely into the bay. It didn’t solve all problems as a few ships still sunk under its watch.Erosion today risks the longevity of this peace of history.

The rugged coastline offers many beautiful perspectives. On this morning the clouds were heavy, I moved into a position to capture the detail in the clouds and light from the horizon, I shot this image. A long exposure to blur the cloud and waves, highlighting the Obelisk.
