Mountain Osprey

There are no birds that intrigue and interest people more than birds of prey. Osprey are spread throughout the Rocky Mountains. They are intense in their protective behaviour, yet stunningly beautiful in their appearance.

This Osprey had young in its nest only days earlier, before the snow. I couldn’t see any young on this day, but its behaviour suggested otherwise. Standing in defence of the nest, I took a couple of photos of this beautiful bird and moved on.
