Print Information

Below you will find all the details about the printing process for your print. The information includes sizing, where the printing is done, the types of inks and papers used in the finishing process.

Where is the printing done?

All of our printing is completed at professional print labs in West Australia. Art’s Edge uses the highest quality equipment and inks, utilising a 12 colour ink system unique to Epson. We have worked with Art’s Edge for many years, and always meets our high expectations.

Paper (Printing Media)

Our printing is done on the highest quality archival papers and canvas. We will not compromise on the quality, so you can be 100% confident you are getting a print done to the highest standards possible today. Below are the two print media that we are using today. If you have specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Fine Art Matte Print – Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta (or equivalent)
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Bartya combines luxury cotton paper and baryta board. It is a white, 100% cotton paper – guaranteeing archival standards.

Ilford Galerie Prestige Canvas Natural
A cotton/polyester blend canvas with a matt surface and natural tint. This canvas offers stunning colour reproduction thanks to a wide colour gamut that enhances rich colours and provides deep, dense blacks.

All of our prints are shipped without matte or framing, and canvases are unstretched. If you’re interested in matting, framing or stretching please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Print Sizes

When you choose a print size for an image in our collection they will be chosen one of two ways:

  1. The print will show dimensions on 2 sides, such as 24″ x 36″. The dimension on the long side of the print will be an accurate reflection of that dimension. The dimension on the other side may vary slightly, with the exception of the square prints (i.e. 12″ x 12″). The reason for the minor variations, is we crop our images to suit the image, not to suit specific sizes.
  2. You see the dimension written as one size only, such as 80 inch. In these cases that dimension reflects the dimension on the long side of the print. If the exact dimension on the short side is important to you, please contact us about the specific print you’re interested in.

If you are looking for a custom size to your print, we may be able to accommodate your requests. Contact us with the details of what you require.

Are the prints signed?

All prints are digitally signed, embedded directly onto the print itself, not the white border. We do not place image titles anywhere on the print.

If you’d like your print to be personally signed, enquire prior to purchase. The price and shipping times will vary for personal signatures.

We do not inspect all the prints prior to shipping. We have put a lot of effort into working with the print labs above, to ensure that the highest quality prints are produced, and you receive a superior product.
