Bombo Overdrive

The open Pacific Ocean pounds against the eastern coastline of Australia. The large and powerful waves have carved some amazing formations against the entire coast line, with none more impressive than Bombo Quarry in Kiama, New South Wales.

Walking out onto the rocks is precarious at the best of times. Looking up tide patterns, I timed my visit for the best chance to go out on these rocks to look back at this impressive face. At sunrise I photographed the impressive waves beating the rocks as the sun lit up the cloud and rock formations.
