Fire & Ice

The mountains on the Icefield Parkway are spectacular and much closer than other areas of the Rockies. It feels as though you are always looking almost straight up to view the majestic mountains in this area.

It’s a special time in the Rockies as the ice starts to form on the rivers, creeks and lakes in the Rockies. On this cold morning, ice was forming on the creeks entering the lake. As the sunrise light started to hit the peaks, they reflected beautifully into the freezing creek.
